September 29, 1916 ~ May 11, 2012 (age 95)
She was born Dorothy Myrn Chenea on September 29, 1916 in Pomeroy, WA to Vigil and Lola Chenea. After moving to Portland she attended Vernon Grade School and Jefferson High School. She met Frank Lundquist and they were married on September 4, 1937. He preceded her in death after 54 years of marriage. Her sister Bette Schoepe also preceded her in death.
Myrn retired after working for Westinghouse for 33 years. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, traveling, going to special lunches and dinners, working with different organizations and playing cards of all sorts. Although she and Frank had been to places like Italy, Greece, Ireland, Sweden and the Orient the week she would spend in Cannon Beach each year meant the most to her.
Myrn was a very special lady who had a generous spirit, always put the needs of others ahead of her own and loved to laugh at the humor in life around us. She will be loved and missed by all those who knew her.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, June 2, 2012 at Riverview Abbey Funeral Home and Mausoleum in Portland at 2:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
