Norma Satterlee Obituary

Norma was born in Portland, Oregon on July 21, 1920, to Lydia and Ross Reed. She attended Girls Poly High School. Norma was Rose Festival Princess in 1938, and remained a princess her whole life.

Norma married her “angel from Heaven,” James A. Satterlee, on May 8th, 1945. They were together until Jim died in 2001.

Norma had many talents, such as sewing, cooking, entertaining, and gardening. She was the “mom” to Linda and Patsy after their mother passed in 1952, and the helper and friend to all of the family: Nieces, Patsy Rahmig, Linda Cameron, Jackie Thornton, Lorayne Dick; and nephew, Art Reed.

A memorial service will be held in Norma’s honor on Wednesday, May 9th, 2018, at 3:00 PM, at CherryWood Chapel, 10610 SE Cherry Blossom Drive, Portland 97216. All friends are welcome. A reception will follow at the CherryWood 2nd Floor Community Room.
