Patricia Gloden Obituary

Patricia M. Gloden, devoted wife and mother, died peacefully in Milwaukie, Oregon, on July 13, 2021.  Patricia was born in Portland, Oregon on February 3, 1920 to Marie and Clayton Sharp.  After a year at Marylhurst College, Patricia worked for KGW Radio in several capacities, including script-writer.  She married John during World War II, and had many interesting adventures as a war bride.  An avid reader, Patricia also enjoyed art, music, and dance.  She worked many years for Multnomah County–both in education and mental health.

In her retirement she enjoyed traveling.  She is survived by her children Gail Richardson (George), Paul Gloden (Rosemary Joe), Joan Jenkins, and by five grandchildren.  She was predeceased by John Gloden, her loving husband of 70 years, their daughter Martha, and son Fred; and by her sister Elizabeth Ferguson.  We wish to thank Simon and Simone for their many years of care.  Services will be private.
