Pearl Jipson Obituary

Pearl Minnie Jipson was born in Sheridan, Wyoming on April 25th,
1943.She moved with her mother, brother Jim and two sisters Marie
and Mary to Chokio, MN in 1945. She was the youngest of four children
and the most spoiled. She attended Chokio Grade School and High
School and then married her sweetheart Raymond Jipson on July 23rd,
1960; this past July they celebrated their 53rd wedding anniversary.
They lived in Chokio on a farm when they first married, and they had
three children while they lived there, and then had one more child after
they moved out here to Portland, Oregon in 1965.

She was a housewife most of her life; she loved taking care of her family
and keeping her house spotless! We always joked that we could almost
eat off the floor, she never let dirt stay in one place too long. She was an
avid Bingo player, often winning enough money to pay for trips back
to Minnesota to visit family. She loved her 10 grandchildren, and seven
great-grandchildren.

She departed this life on September 23rd, 2013 at Fernhill Estates Care
Center in Portland, Oregon.

She leaves behind cherished memories by her husband Raymond Jipson, her children Julie Kuntz (Ken), Randy Jipson, Janet Watkins (Daryl) and Rodney Jipson (Christal). Her sisters Marie Eblen (John) and Mary Jipson. Her sister-in-laws Linda Hatlestad (Cliff), Millie Mohrman, Marion Wenz (Randy), brother-in-law Joe Jipson (Terry); and her many grandchildren Heidi Goodwin (Joe), Jessica MacLaren (Mike), Theresa Kuntz, Amanda Kuntz, Holly Mosby (Branden), Alisha Jipson, Ryan Watkins, Jacob Jipson, Olivia Kuntz and Joshua Jipson. Her great-grandchildren, Christopher, Emily and Patrick Goodwin, Jordan and Brant MacLaren, Joey Jipson and November Mosby; plus many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents Amanda Collins and Mura
Collins. Her stepmother Helen Collins, her brother Jim Collins. Her
brother-in-laws Marvin Jipson and Donald Jipson.

She was greatly loved and we will miss her, but we know that she is now in the hands of Jesus and that gives us peace.

A celebration of life will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, October 1, 2013, at Riverview Abbey, 0319 S.W. Taylors Ferry Road Portland, OR, 97219.

Sorry for your loss. Even though we lost touch. We will always remember the great times we had. Pearl was a good friend and lovely lady

To the Jipson family,
I was deeply saddened to read of the death of Pearl. You don’t always have to know a family to have empathy for them when they lose a loved one in death. I wish to express my deepest sympathy and sincere condolences as you endure this great loss. Our loving Heavenly Father also feels deep empathy and there for assures us that when Revelation 21:4 is fulfilled, death, pain and mourning will be eliminated. And because our savior Jesus Christ gave his life for us, he said “all those in the memorial tombs..will come out.” John 5:28, 29. I pray that these scriptures will comfort you also, as you await the time when you and Pearl are reunited in the resurrection and when death, pain, and mourning will be a thing of the past.
With deep sympathy, Joel
