Ron, We will miss Peggy very much. Had so much fun at the lake playing dock ball in costume. She was such a good sport to get us to look our best. Sorry we could not be with you today. Take care my friend. Love,

Peggy,
You were one gutsy lady and I admired that about you, however, the more I got to know you, the more I saw that soft side that was very caring and generous. I will miss your wise advise and the hours we could sit and talk well into the night and sometimes morning.
I admired your courage and your strength while facing your illness. Your thoughts were of your family and how to best be for them. It was an honor to help you as much as I could or as much as you would let me.
I will miss our going to shows and stopping for something to eat and something to wash it down with. I will miss your humor, even when things weren’t really all that funny.
I will miss your good cooking.
I didn’t know you all that well in high school but I am glad you approached me when you moved down to Portland and we began a very nice friendship. I loved your honesty and knew I could always count on it, even though sometimes it was hard to swallow.
Thanks for being in my life. I will surely miss you but I am glad you are at peace!

Peggy,
You have been a part of my life for over 25 years because you married my son, Ron.
You were a tiny feisty women with a big presence.
Your two sons were very important to you and were greatly loved. Richard will
carry on our family name.
You helped raise four stepdaughters. Two were my
Granddaughters.
Your mother lived with you and Ron for several years.
This meant that you and Ron had to give up a lot of things you could have done.
I appreciated your humor, zest for life, adventurous spirit, and the time we had together.
Three rescued dogs were a big part of your life and were very pampered pets.
When Richard was in Iraq our family was worried about him,
but he was your child and it was harder for you. I was thankful that you found the Blue Star Mothers.
With the Blue Star Mothers you had a sisterhood that understood what it was like
to have family in the service
and you supported each other.
You really enjoyed the women, made many friends and were devoted to the goal of having a Veterans Memorial in Oregon
I spent your last two weeks
with you and Ron and was privileged to witness your never give up battle with cancer and you still were feisty and had a sense of humor.
I saw your family and friends
love and concern for you.
Thank you for being a part of my life. You will live on in
all of your family and friends memory.
Your loving Mother-in-law.
