Pete was born, November 16, 1942, in Spokane, Washington to George and Lucille Kombol. He attended Sacred Heart Elementary, Gonzaga Prep and completed two years at Gonzaga University before transferring to the University of Portland where he was student body treasurer, met his future wife, Nancy Miller, formed life-long friendships and graduated with a Degree in Accounting.

He worked in public accounting and served as CFO of a grain company before forming an accounting firm with Greg Hixson in which he was active until his death.

Pete enjoyed family vacations at the Priest Lake cabin and trips to Scottsdale.

Survivors include his wife; his children, Christopher and Liza; and his sister, Claudia. He was predeceased by his parents; brother, Tom; and infant son, Dean.

Funeral Mass will be held February 28, 2013, 11 a.m. at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church.
