March 30, 1943 ~ July 29, 2022 (age 79)
Richard Arthur Larsson Jr., beloved son, husband, father, brother, and papa passed away surrounded by family on July 29th, at the age of 79.
Richard aka Dick (Little Dickie, Dickster, Dickie Daddles, and most proudly “Papa”) was born to Richard and Beverly Larsson in Newberg, Oregon on March 30, 1943. Dick attended Gold Beach High School and in 1971 graduated from Portland State University. Dick married the love of his life, Pamela, in 1968 and lived most of his life in Oregon until recently moving to California.
Dick was a natural salesman. With an entrepreneurial spirit, he ventured out on his own in 1982 and started Larsson & Associates, a manufacturers representative company. Eventually his two sons, Chris and Tim joined him and built an extremely successful company of 20 plus years.
Dick was an avid gun enthusiast who loved the outdoors including hunting, boating, and camping with his family. In his later years, he enjoyed the title of “camp cook” at elk camp with his brothers and sons. Dick could build or fix anything which he proudly passed on to his sons. He enjoyed buying and selling RV’s. He owned 8 different “rigs” over the course of his life and would always have a twinkle in his eye when sharing that he had turned a profit on each and every one of them. Dick was a golf member at Oswego Lake Country Club and Indian Ridge Country Club and although he liked the game, he more enjoyed chauffeuring and caddying for his “Pammy.”
Dick developed a very rare cancer and died unexpectedly at Meridian Park Hospital. He is proceeded in death by his father, Richard and survived by his mother, Beverly and wife of 54 years, Pamela. Dick leaves behind three children; Julie Schuler and husband Jeff, Chris Larsson and wife Tiffany, Tim Larsson and wife Marcy; grandchildren, Jordan Schuler, Ty Larsson, Makenna Larsson, Cal Larsson, Cash Larsson; siblings, Bill Larsson, Larry Larsson, Jill Bell, Brian Larsson, Jan Hayes; numerous nieces and nephews; and his furry sidekick, Winston.
Dick was a great American patriot and had a soft place in his heart for the United States military.
In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to Wounded Warriors, one of his favorite charities.
A celebration of life will be held at Oswego Lake County Club on October 8 ,2022 at 4:00pm-7:00pm
Family meant everything to Dick…he was so loved and will be greatly missed.
