Robert Miller Obituary

Robert C. Miller, known to his friends as “Trapper Bob” passed away April 11, 2012, at the age of 75.

Born in Youngsville, N.Y., December 15, 1936, Trapper Bob joined the Navy in 1954 and served for 30 years, including time aboard a nuclear ballistic submarine.

He moved to Oregon in 1978. In 1981, he married Barbara Stone, who moved from Hawaii to join him. He pursued his love of the outdoors by trapping, hunting and fishing. He spent much time in the woods and at the Oregon coast.

Trapper Bob will be lovingly remembered by his mother, Violet Miller of NY; his daughters, Michelle Binder of Portland and Laurie Oelkers of Illinois; stepchildren, Alison Beddow and Erik Stone of Hawaii; his sisters, Patricia Kehrley and Mary Lou Kyser of New York; six grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

Trapper Bob was predeceased by his wife, Barbara and his father, Charles Miller.

Memorial donations in Trapper Bob’s memory can be made to The Salvation Army.
