Roger Orem Obituary

Roger Roy Orem, of Vancouver, went home to be with the Lord.

Roger was born in Klamath Falls to Roy and Hazel Orem. Roger attended Oregon State University 1947 to 1951, where he completed the ROTC program. After which he married his high school sweetheart, Barbara.

Roger enlisted in the U.S. Air Force in 1951 and was honorably discharged in 1960. After his time in the Air Force, Roger and Barbara managed a resort in West Palm Beach, Florida, called Resort Poray.

Roger was kind, compassionate, giving and self-sacrificial, embodied in his love for family and love of God.

He is survived by his sons, Randy, Lance ad Scott Orem; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren with another on the way.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 21, 2016, at Camas Church of the Nazarene, 2204 NE Birch Street, Camas, Washington, with a reception to follow at The Quarry, 415 SE 177th Avenue, Vancouver.
