February 1, 1918 ~ July 2, 2016 (age 98)
She is survived by her daughter, Linda; sons, Jack (Jan) and Bruce (Anne); grandchildren; and great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband, Charles in 2003; and son, Mark in 2007.
Ruth’s parents, Rufus and Lillian Filley, settled in Beaverton in 1910 where Ruth grew up with her brothers, Bob and Jack. Ruth graduated from Beaverton High School where she met her future husband in 1935. She and Charles where married for for 63 years. They spent their married life in Portland and Bay City. She was a lifetime member of Eastern Star. Ruth resided at Fairlawn Retirement Center at the time of her passing.
No services are planned. The family suggests remembrances be made to a charity of your choice.
