July 6, 1962 ~ November 15, 2021 (age 59)
Shelly’s family moved often. Her earlier years were spent in Heinz and Prineville, OR. Later the family moved to Molalla and then Beaverton where she graduated from Beaverton High School in 1980.
Shelly was known for her kindness and graciousness. Whether it was as a customer service rep at K-Mart, greeting people at church or with perfect strangers at the grocery store, she had a way of making people feel loved and accepted. Her family came first and Shelly was thoroughly committed to caring for and guiding them through the good and bad times. She enjoyed arts and crafts and for years she invited friends and family of like mind to gather weekly at our home to build scrap books and other projects. She loved to study the bible. She was not a scholar, but for several years she was involved in in-depth bible studies where she gained depth in her faith and grew close to the other ladies in the classes.
She was preceded in death by her mom and dad-Don and Faye Thoroughman, her sister Sue and her Aunt Roberta. Survivors are her husband Bruce, sons Seth and Carson, daughter Aimee, her brother Steve, sister Sandy, and grandchildren Tristen, Savverty, Madison, Anthony and April.
A Celebration of Life service will be held Wednesday, December 8 at 1:00 PM, at Foothills Memorial Church, 122 Grange Avenue, Molalla, OR 97038

Shelly was such an amazing kind woman. I did not know her very long but the time I did he really made an impact on me. I can’t wait to see her again one day. Angel
Several years ago Shelly and I headed to the coast for a moms retreat! We had a blast sharing and laughing together! She was so committed to raising Carson, she will always be an inspiration how she helped her kids and grandkids! I know She is in the arms of her savior and that is the best comfort knowing shes gone so soon! Bless you
