Stephen “Steve” William Christie, age 82, passed away Nov. 12, 2023, in Portland, Ore., after a courageous battle with cancer. His smile was a source of joy to all who knew him and he will be greatly missed. Steve was a 1958 graduate of Milwaukie High School, served in the U.S. Army Reserves, and went on to build his career in finance. He raised his family in Beavercreek, Ore., where they raised Angus cattle. Steve loved gardening and spending time in nature. He enjoyed his morning walks and greeting his neighbors. Steve was the son of William and Anita Christie, who preceded him in death. He was devoted to his family and is survived by his sister, Carolyn Simon; daughters, Christine Killgore and Jean Roque; and four beloved grandchildren. Steve’s final resting place will be in the Riverview Abbey Mausoleum and a private celebration of life will be held at a later time.
