November 25, 1941 ~ October 25, 2019 (age 77)
Susan McCabe, age 77, passed away peacefully in beautiful Portland, Oregon on October 25, 2019. She was born November 25, 1941 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Raymond Murray and Uarda Wilson. In 1971, she married her best friend and love Kevin, who has been with her ever since. Their love for each other was profound and further strengthened by all they experienced together.
Susan worked for many years at Cathedral School as the secretary while her children attended school there in the 1980s and subsequently went to work at PCC Sylvania until her retirement. Susan was known to all as a creative, artistic person, who loved to paint, cook, garden, read poetry, watch movies and take photographs. She also loved all things sweet: salt water taffy, caramel, peanut brittle, licorice – it didn’t matter. Susan will be remembered for her love for her children and gentle nature, that was always punctuated by a knowing smile.
Susan is survived by her husband, Kevin; three brothers, Phillip, Lane, and Brent; one sister, Katherine; her three children and their spouses, Steven, Elizabeth and Mark, and Willie and Heather; grandchildren, Hazel, Elden, Tess, Lawson, and William. She was devoted to her family and wil be deeply missed by all those whose lives she touched.
Please join us celebrating her life on November 25, 2019 at 10:00 am at River View Abbey. Reception to follow at Elephant’s on Corbett.
