Ted Ellison Obituary

Ted was born in Portland and graduated from Washington High School, where he held the record for many years for the longest broad jump. He joined the Navy Seabees, where he served stateside during WWII.

In 1949, Ted married the love of his life, Toula. They enjoyed a very happy 64 years of marriage. Ted worked as an interior decorator and was known for his talents in fabrics for window dressing until his retirement. During retirement, Ted and Toula were able to travel the world and visit many interesting places.
As a member of the M.A.C., Ted donated his time for a giving tree for disadvantaged children and delivered the gifts himself.

Ted is survived by his wife, Toula; son, Greg (Barbara); and twin grandchildren, Wyatt and Chelsea, who were the light of his life.

He was predeceased by his brother, John Ellison; and sister, Bessie Pishue.

A funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, May 23, 2014, at the Hold Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral, Portland.
