April 8, 1947 ~ August 21, 2019 (age 72)
Terry Colleen Mitchell, age 72, passed peacefully on August 21, 2019 at home with her husband John by her side. She was born April 8, 1947 in Portland, Oregon to Charles and Reba Mitchell, and married John F. Lee on November 24, 2005.
Terry graduated from Reynolds High School in 1965. She moved briefly to North Dakota, then back to the Portland area. She enjoyed raising her two sons, music, as well as bird watching, canoeing and fishing with John. She worked as a Secretary for many years, and was a perfectionist at grammar. While married to John she helped with his Architectural Design Firm contracts. She was the family matriarch, always the person to go to if you needed to know any information about family history. She was a loving person, always kind to others, and adored her husband John. She will be sorely missed by all.
Survived by husband John F. Lee, children Kevin Brunton (Carol Murphy), Kurt Moke (Jennifer), grandchildren; Jayden Brunton, Kaelyn Brunton, Emma Moke, and Elliot Moke, as well as her best friend and sister Holly Mitchell (Phil Jones), and three brothers; Ed Mitchell (Kathy), Mark Mitchell (Jaycn Holden), and Tim Mitchell. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews who dearly loved their aunt Terry, and many supportive friends.
A memorial service will be held at Peace Church of the Brethren, 12727 S.E. Market Street, Portland, Oregon at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 12, 2019, with a gathering afterward at her sister Holly’s house. Donations in Terry’s memory may be made in lieu of flowers to the Multiple Sclerosis Association at mymsaa.org.
