Virginia Cornilles Obituary

Virginia Orr was born in Nampa, Idaho to Josephine and Charles Orr. The third of four children, Virginia grew up in Nampa and graduated from Nampa High in 1932.

After dating Harry Cornilles for two years, they married on September 10, 1934 and had two children, Ronald and Carole. The family moved to Portland in 1942 and to Milwaukie in 1946, where both children graduated from Milwaukie High. Virginia worked at Tektronix for 16 years, while she and Harry raised their family.

Once their children were grown, Harry and Virginia moved to King City where they were active in the community. Virginia was a geat fan of the Trailblazers and never missed a televised game. She was also an avid golfer and traveled with Harry to golf courses around the Northwest and Mexico. The couple enjoyed international travel and visited Australia, New Zealand, China and Tahiti, among other adventures.

Harry and Virginia moved to Hearthstone in Beaverton in 2008 where they had one more year together before Harry passed away at age 99. They were married 74 wonderful years.

Virginia is survived by her son; daughter; and three grandchildren.

She wished to be cremated at Riverview Abbey Funeral Home.
