Walter Zwingli Obituary
On Thursday, June 2, 2022, Walter (Wally) R. Zwingli, father of three children, passed away at the age of 86. Wally was born June 27, 1935 in Tigard, OR to Walter (Walt) G. Zwingli and Marie J. Zwingli. He graduated from Oregon State University in 1958 and was a member of the Sigma Chi fraternity. He had 55 years of progressive management experience in Commercial/Residential Real Estate and related lending industry.
Wally was an avid outdoorsman. He loved to hunt, fish, camp, snow ski, and water ski. He trained horses and several hunting dogs. He was one of the founders of the National Snaffle Bit Futurity in Boise, ID. He was a 4-H leader for years and was always helping children do their best. He was a giving, kind person and was always trying to do something for someone else. He lived in Tigard, OR for most of his life but spent several years in Scottsdale, AZ and Nampa, ID.
He was preceded in death by his father Walt Zwingli, mother Marie Zwingli, nephew Duke Zwingli, brother Robert (Bob) Zwingli, two sons: Raif Zwingli and Walter Scott Zwingli and granddaughter Ashley Littlefield. He will be remembered by his daughter, Terri Littlefield, son-in-law, Len Littlefield, daughters-in-law, Susan Zwingli and Laurie Zwingli, his seven grandchildren: Samantha Zwingli (fiancé Luke Smalanskas) Tessa Michelotti (husband Matt Michelotti), Casey Thomas (husband Aaron Thomas), Conrad Littlefield, Tyler Zwingli, Brady Zwingli, Liam Zwingli and great-granddaughter Quinn Michelotti. In addition, his significant other Janet Bisceglia, his first wife Sharon Zwingli Ehni, second wife Lola Zwingli and her family, sister-in-law Eula Zwingli, niece Gail Peake (husband Steve Peake) and brother-in-law Steve Cross. He was loved by generations of family and friends and will be sorely missed.
At this time no funeral arrangements have been made. Donations can be made to his favorite nonprofits: Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation and Ducks Unlimited.
