December 6, 1920 ~ March 17, 2013 (age 92)
During WWII, Warren served as an engineer and top-turret gunner on a B-17 stationed in England. He was active in many veteran’s organizations in Oregon.
He moved to Portland 20 years ago and took care of his wife, Beatrice, who suffered from Alzheimer’s.
Warren was a Mason. He liked to golf and he made his first hole-in-one at age 88. Warren had a memorable personality and made friends easily wherever he went.
He is survived by his son, Greg; his daughter, Karen and her husband, Jim Knoelke; and four brothers in North Carolina.
Services will be held at the Willamette National Cemetery on Wednesday, March 20 at 10:30 a.m.
Memorial contributions can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or the American Heart Association.
You can still show your support by sending flowers directly to the family, or by planting a memorial tree in the memory of Warren Caldwell
