January 25, 1928 ~ June 25, 2020 (age 92)
Compassionate and warm-spirited, Yvonne Love passed away peacefully in her home June 25, 2020, after a courageous 10-month battle with cancer.
Yvonne was born in Portland the youngest of five children. She met the love of her life while attending Grant High School and they married at Westminster Presbyterian Church. Their deep devotion to each other culminated in reaching their 70th wedding anniversary, June 2, 2020. While they faced challenges in their early years as they traveled nationwide for graduate education, they also laid the groundwork for a wonderful life. Yvonne worked as a bank teller and loan officer. Her outstanding sewing and knitting skills were the envy of many.
After 14 years in California and 15 years in Maryland, they missed Oregon so much that they returned in 1984. This past year Yvonne was blessed with an incredible team at Regency Hospice that enabled her to remain home.
Nothing made Yvonne happier than helping others in need. Her heart and soul were always devoted passionately to caring for her family and friends. She was heavily involved in church operations and dedicated over 2,000 hours to Legacy Meridian Park Medical Center. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Medical Teams International at: www.medicalteams.org
She is survived by her husband, Dan; daughter, Carolyn; son, David (Lisa); granddaughter, Lindsay; grandson, Stephen; and treasured family and friends.
